What is a BTL Mortgage?
Buy to let mortgages are designed for investors and landlords who do not intend on living in the property.
As the property is for profit, additional risks are inherited when compared to a mortgage for home movers. The property may not increase in value, or the monthly income could be interrupted if it is to be rented out. Also, the minimum deposit is usually higher than a moving home mortgage (typically 20-30% of property value). There may also be other costs that need to be taken into consideration such as maintenance, letting agent fees, insurance etc. We will try to guide you through the journey.
